Common questions

What is included for free?

Scan the latest 100 or 500 photos for free. A one-time Pro purchase unlocks 1,000 and 5,000 photos, your entire accessible library, and date ranges. Both versions are ad-free.

Why were no photos deleted?

Practice mode is enabled initially. Turn it off in Settings to enable real deletion, which still requires confirmation through Photos.

Can I recover deleted photos?

Check Recently Deleted in the Photos app. Monocle cannot recover permanently deleted photos or photos whose recovery period has expired. iCloud Photos may sync deletions to other devices.

Why does the cleanup size differ from free space?

Monocle shows the measured data size of deleted photos when available. Recently Deleted and iCloud storage optimization can affect how much device storage is actually freed.

Why are some photos missing from results?

Photo access permissions and locally available photos affect results. Monocle compares similar photos taken close together. Reviewed groups stay hidden; you can show them again in Settings.

How do I restore Pro?

Use the Apple Account that made the purchase and choose Restore Purchases in the Monocle Pro screen. Apple handles payments and refund requests.
